NHM in Tripura
We have not yet verified Tripura's own NHM documents. The national framework still applies here, and it is below — with the state's own door, and a way to ask us to read the rest.
Independent educational and assistance platform. Not a government website and not affiliated with or endorsed by NHB, NHM, the Tripura government or any authority. Choosing a state does not mean an application is open or that you qualify.

What we know so far
Research on Tripura has started. The department publishes in the right places and none of them would open to us.
Horticulture sits under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare rather than in a directorate of its own. Its site carries separate sections for programmes and schemes, for circulars and for orders — which is where a state's own terms and its application windows would be announced. None of the three returned a list to a fetch: the page furniture arrives and the documents are assembled afterwards, so there is nothing yet to register.
Tripura is in the North Eastern region, so the Mission reaches a grower here as HMNEH rather than NHM, and under the current national guidelines the Government of India contributes 90% of the outlay rather than 60%. That is the split between governments, not a rate to a beneficiary.
What does apply here meanwhile: the 64 statements we have taken from the MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025 hold across the country — the components the Mission supports, the national cost norms and the general rates of assistance. Those are the guides listed below, and every figure in them names the page it came from.
What happens next: opening the orders and circulars sections in a browser and registering what they list. The sections exist and are named correctly, which is more than several larger states manage.
What Tripura publishes
Written from the state's own pages and documents. Not yet reviewed, and not a statement of what the state pays.

Which scheme reaches Tripura
Not NHM, but HMNEH. The MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025 say the
National Horticulture Mission covers all States and Union Territories except those in
the North Eastern and Himalayan region. Tripura is
one of the eight North Eastern states,
so the Mission reaches a grower here as the Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan
States. The components and the national cost norms are the same document; the coverage and the
share a grower pays are not, and nobody here has read the difference yet.
On the NHB side, the Board's circular of 21 August 2026 sets its rate of
assistance at
45% for the North Eastern and Himalayan States, Scheduled Areas and four named Union
Territories@if($isSpecUt), of which Tripura is one@endif. A project here is in that
higher band rather than the 35% general rate.
The rules quoted here are the national ones. Which states sit inside the North Eastern and
Himalayan region is our reading of them rather than a list either document prints, so treat it as
our wording and confirm anything you are about to spend money on.
The national framework that applies in Tripura

Everyone quotes 50%. Worked at the 4,000 square metre limit against the April 2025 cost norms, the same rule returns about 50% on a net house, 35% on a naturally ventilated polyhouse and 16%...
