NHM in Andaman and Nicobar Islands
We have not yet verified Andaman and Nicobar Islands's own NHM documents. The national framework still applies here, and it is below — with the state's own door, and a way to ask us to read the rest.
Independent educational and assistance platform. Not a government website and not affiliated with or endorsed by NHB, NHM, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands government or any authority. Choosing a state does not mean an application is open or that you qualify.

What we know so far
Research on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has started and has not reached a department. The addresses tried for the islands' agriculture administration do not resolve for us, so no department is linked beside this: recording a general portal as a horticulture department would make this page look researched when it is not.
One national rule lands here by name. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are one of the four union territories the National Horticulture Board's circular of 21 August 2026 names for the higher 45% rate of assistance rather than the 35% general rate. That is an NHB rule from a document this platform holds, not an islands figure.
Horticulture here is coconut, arecanut and spices on islands with their own logistics, and the national guidelines route coconut through the Coconut Development Board rather than through the Mission's general components. A grower here may well be dealing with that board.
What does apply here meanwhile: NHM is a national scheme, and the 64 statements we have taken from the MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025 hold in every state and union territory outside the North Eastern and Himalayan region. Those are the guides listed below, and every figure in them names the page it came from.
What happens next: finding an address for the islands' agriculture department that answers. If you know one, tell us.
What Andaman and Nicobar Islands publishes
Written from the state's own pages and documents. Not yet reviewed, and not a statement of what the state pays.
We have not found an address for the islands' agriculture administration that answers, so this is one of two places on the site with no department linked. Two things are still solid: the Boa...

Which scheme reaches Andaman and Nicobar Islands
NHM. The MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025 say the National
Horticulture Mission covers all States and Union Territories except those in the North Eastern
and Himalayan region, and all districts in the States it applies to. Andaman and Nicobar Islands is
outside that region, so NHM is the sub-scheme an application here sits under, and the national
cost norms in the guides below are the ones to work from.
On the NHB side, the Board's circular of 21 August 2026 sets its rate of
assistance at
45% for the North Eastern and Himalayan States, Scheduled Areas and four named Union
Territories@if($isSpecUt), of which Andaman and Nicobar Islands is one@endif. A project here is in that
higher band rather than the 35% general rate.
The rules quoted here are the national ones. Which states sit inside the North Eastern and
Himalayan region is our reading of them rather than a list either document prints, so treat it as
our wording and confirm anything you are about to spend money on.
