NHM in Meghalaya
We have not yet verified Meghalaya's own NHM documents. The national framework still applies here, and it is below — with the state's own door, and a way to ask us to read the rest.
Independent educational and assistance platform. Not a government website and not affiliated with or endorsed by NHB, NHM, the Meghalaya government or any authority. Choosing a state does not mean an application is open or that you qualify.

What we know so far
Research on Meghalaya has started, and the department is one of the few that files the Mission where you would look for it.
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare publishes a horticulture schemes page which sorts what it offers by type — state plan, centrally sponsored, and the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture as a category of its own. That is the right shape. What we could not do is get the contents out of it: the page is a selector, and the list of schemes under each type is fetched after a choice is made, so a request returns the chooser rather than the choices.
Meghalaya is in the North Eastern region, so the Mission reaches a grower here as HMNEH rather than as NHM, and under the current national guidelines the Government of India contributes 90% of the outlay rather than 60%. That is the split between governments, not a rate of assistance, but it is why a North Eastern state's own scheme papers can differ from a plains state's.
What does apply here meanwhile: the 64 statements we have taken from the MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025 hold across the country — the components the Mission supports, the national cost norms and the general rates of assistance. Those are the guides listed below, and every figure in them names the page it came from.
What happens next: working the schemes selector from a browser and registering what sits under the Mission category. The department has already done the hard part by separating it out; it just cannot be reached by fetching.
What Meghalaya publishes
Written from the state's own pages and documents. Not yet reviewed, and not a statement of what the state pays.

Which scheme reaches Meghalaya
Not NHM, but HMNEH. The MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025 say the
National Horticulture Mission covers all States and Union Territories except those in
the North Eastern and Himalayan region. Meghalaya is
one of the eight North Eastern states,
so the Mission reaches a grower here as the Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan
States. The components and the national cost norms are the same document; the coverage and the
share a grower pays are not, and nobody here has read the difference yet.
On the NHB side, the Board's circular of 21 August 2026 sets its rate of
assistance at
45% for the North Eastern and Himalayan States, Scheduled Areas and four named Union
Territories@if($isSpecUt), of which Meghalaya is one@endif. A project here is in that
higher band rather than the 35% general rate.
The rules quoted here are the national ones. Which states sit inside the North Eastern and
Himalayan region is our reading of them rather than a list either document prints, so treat it as
our wording and confirm anything you are about to spend money on.
