What it is

A horticulture and protected-cultivation exhibition at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, over three days in March. The organiser bills it as North India’s biggest on protected cultivation, which is the component this platform has the most sourced material on.

Why this one is worth planning around

Protected cultivation is where the difference between the headline rate and the real one is widest. The Mission assists at 50% of a cost norm, and for a fan and pad greenhouse the market price is more than three times that norm — so the same 50% returns about 16% of what you will actually spend. The full arithmetic is here, worked at the 4,000 square metre per-beneficiary limit.

Which means the useful thing to do at a show like this is not to find the cheapest structure. It is to find out where your quote sits relative to the norm, because that gap is the part nobody subsidises.

Take three numbers with you

  • ₹950 per square metre — the cost norm for a naturally ventilated polyhouse in the top area band.
  • ₹1,450 — the same for fan and pad.
  • ₹710 — a tubular or rectangular shade net house, the one structure whose market price sits below its norm.

Each of those is from the MIDH operational guidelines of April 2025, and the sliding scale behind them names the page it came from.

A note on where you are

Yashobhoomi is in Delhi, and Delhi is one of two places on this site with no horticulture department we could confirm — the word means three different things here, and the bodies that answer to it mostly run parks. That is worth reading before you assume the venue’s state is the one that will process your file. Apply where you farm.
