What it is

An international trade fair for agriculture, horticulture and agro-industry at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore. Expected in July; confirm the exact dates with the organiser, as they have moved between years.

Machinery is the reason to go, and the reason to check twice

Trade fairs of this kind lead on equipment, and machinery is the component where the Mission most often defers rather than pays. Most farm machinery under NHM is costed against SMAM norms rather than a figure of the Mission’s own, which means the number a dealer quotes you against “the horticulture subsidy” may be governed by a different scheme entirely. Tamil Nadu publishes something most states do not

A numbered, dated Government Order for each scheme each year, published together — so you can check whether the Mission is funded in the state this year before you plan around it. We read the current one: it sanctions the annual action plan and records the allocation, and it sets the budget rather than the rates.
