This is what we have read, not what the state pays. Nobody has yet confirmed a Rajasthan figure against the national norms, and this page does not give you one. It tells you what Rajasthan publishes, what is in it, and what to do with that. The national cost norms that apply meanwhile are in the guides linked at the foot of this page.
The first thing research on Rajasthan found was that our own link was wrong, which is worth admitting before anything else.
The wrong door
The address we had recorded — the horticulture subdomain — is a 316-byte redirect stub rather than a site. It is the kind of address that looks right, answers with a success code, and contains nothing. We had it filed as the department's home and it was not.
The department's material sits under the agriculture department, and the link beside this page now points there. If you have a horticulture.rajasthan address bookmarked, it is not the one to use.
What is behind the right door
A JavaScript application. The page a browser shows is assembled after loading; the document a fetch receives carries twelve links, of which eleven are stylesheets and icons. There is no server-rendered list of schemes, no index of orders, and no address for a guideline that can be cited or watched for change.
There is a consequence here that goes beyond our inconvenience: a search engine sees roughly what we saw. A state that builds its scheme index this way is largely invisible to anyone searching for its schemes by name, which is a real cost to growers who are looking for exactly the thing the department has published.
What is reachable
The counter. Rajasthan takes farmer scheme applications through Raj Kisan, the state's own portal, which answers normally. That is where an application is made, and when a window is open the portal will say what is on offer.
A portal is not a document, though. It tells you what you may apply for now; it does not give you the terms in a form you can check, keep, or hold the department to afterwards.
What to do
Use Raj Kisan for the application and to see what is currently open. Use the national guides below for what the components are worth, each figure naming the page it came from. And if a scheme description on the portal cites an order number, note it — that is the thread that leads back to a citable document.
Working the department's site properly is a person's job rather than a fetch's: opening it in a browser, following it to whatever it publishes as horticulture scheme guidelines or orders, and recording where those actually resolve to. That is the next piece of work on Rajasthan, and if you have already done it, tell us what you found.
