Summary
Our editorial summary. It is not the document and does not replace it.
A one-page letter from the Deputy Secretary (MIDH). The revised MIDH operational guidelines of 2025 had cut the protected cultivation limit for NHM and HMNEH from 4,000 square metres to 2,500 square metres per beneficiary, while keeping the National Horticulture Board above 2,500 square metres.
After representations from stakeholders, the limit is restored to 4,000 square metres per beneficiary for the MIDH sub-schemes, and set at 4,000 square metres and above for the National Horticulture Board, stated to be in order to avoid duplication between the sub-schemes. The change applies from the date of the letter, 12 August 2025.
